Our History

Crooked Compass Creations (CCC) was created out of a love for crafting, gaming and all things geek. CCC is a company that showcases handmade dice jewelry, keychains and accessories, as well as, pyrography, paintings, and various other crafts.

Cace and his wife Cherie’ share a passion for creativity, gaming and pop culture. Cace enjoys wood working and became interested in pyrography (wood burning). He started making wood burnings for family and friends throughout the years. Cherie’ was also always doing creative projects for herself and others. However, neither of them had thought about turning their crafts into a business. Towards the end of 2020 Cherie’ had taken up a new hobby of making jewelry. She noticed that many of her polyhedral dice reminded her of gemstones and decided to make some cute necklaces out of them.

Soon after making a few pieces of dice jewelry Cherie’ began selling them and keychains regularly to their local game shop. Interest in the dice jewelry and accessories has grown significantly since 2020, as sales have now expanded to game stores in five states. Around the same time Cace began promoting his wood burnings to friends at work. This led to him being commissioned for many original pieces. This led to several game stores and customers suggesting Cace and Cherie’ attend as vendors at comic and gaming conventions, and so began Crooked Compass Creations.

The name Crooked Compass Creations was derived from Cherie’ and Cace not knowing where this adventure would take them. Motivated by the encouragement of so many people, they began a journey of creative innovation, expanding their art to a variety of mediums. Cace began making a variety of anime and pop culture wood burnings, along with building all the racks and displays to showcase their art. Cherie’ also began painting and making a wide array of novelty items related to Dungeons & Dragons, Magic the Gathering, and a variety of pop culture iconography. Together they have produced an eclectic collection of jewelry and art they hope to continue to share with the world for many years to come.
